The Rolling Rock - Threshthwaite Cove Boulders
Lakes OS N.E. Map - Grid Ref: 422113 The Problems:
1. Ft4 – Broken arête
2. Ft5 – The classic wall with weird protruding shapes. **
2a. Ft7a/+ – Start as above but follow the parallel cracks not using the square or triangle, eliminate but worthwhile. Easier for the tall.
3. Jungle Hobo Ft7a+ – The awesome arête direct is one of the finest lines around on excellent rock. Trending left onto the face is a (Ft7a) and almost as good. ***
3a. Grand Unification Ft7c+ – The sit start in to the Jungle Hobo arete is excellent. As with the stand-up trending left on to the face is easier (Ft7c). ***
4. Kopparberg Wall Ft6c+ - The highball wall direct. From the large edge a long reach to good crimp and up, another three star classic! ***
5. Ft6b – Another crimpy wall trending left. Harder than it looks!
6. Ft6b – (sit start) From the scooped edge and fin climb direct.
7. Ft6c – (sit start) The short roof is climbed via a stern pull and a slap, now easier climbing on pockets.
